Company History

Datu Complex started as a retail company in the early seventies by the founder Datu Johnny Lima. Starting with one, it has grown into 14 outlets all over Mindanao. In 1993, they ventured into Distribution, thus DCDist was born. It gained the distribution rights for Sugarland International Products, Inc. for selected outlets in Davao City, and later acquired the right to distribute for Procter & Gamble Phils. Inc. in the area of Davao Provinces, and later added, Monde Nissin, SAFI/HEINZ UFC, Mead Johnson and Wrigley’s Phils, Inc.

Now, the DC Group focuses on distribution being the core of its business. Aside from the distribution business, DC and it’s group of companies also has other ventures in the food, manpower, real estate leasing & rentals, and retail industries.

Managed by its current President, William Lima, DC Group’s Distribution arm has the widest coverage and reach in Southern Mindanao, covering the entire Davao City and all its Provinces, North and South Cotabato and Cotabato City.
